Libya is evaluating subsidies for renewable energies, the Privatization and Investment Board (PIB) reported Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This comes after current incumbent Caretaker Prime Minister, Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba, had passed decree 131\/2022 regarding the formation of a committee to assess the feasibility of adding the renewable energies item within the existing fuel subsidy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The PIB reported that the committee held a meeting on April 5 to review the decree 131\/2022 and to propose the development of a mechanism for financing renewable energy projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The committee consists of the PIB chairman, representatives of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), the Central Bank of Libya and the Renewable Energies Authority of Libya (REAoL).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
