It will be recalled that the small Mitiga airport was forced into service as Tripoli\u2019s main airport after militia fighting destroyed Tripoli International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Airports Authority said the ongoing projects are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The project of linking the old departure hall to the new departure hall<\/li><li>The project to connect the current terminal with the new departure hall.<\/li><li>The expansion of the arrival hall and the internal flight halls.<\/li><li>Supplying and installing a system of conveyor belts for passenger baggage to the departure hall.<\/li><li>The project for maintaining the fence and blocking security breaches, which aims to protect the runway from breaches, and which will contribute to raising the airport\u2019s safety procedures.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Libya\u2019s Airports Authority announced last week that it is continuing the implementation of its various upgrade projects to Mitiga airport through its contracted companies.
