Libyan Businessmen Council (LBC) was established in 2003, as a step to regulate and organize the ranks of Libyan businessmen to serve the national economy and as a private institution with legal personality and independent financial liability. Its main headquarters is located in Tripoli and its branch office is in Benghazi and aims to support the private sector and contribute to building a sound national economy. The council has since endeavored to defend the rights of its members and the Libyan business community and support the private sector.
