Strategic Partnership to Resolve Investment Challenges in Sirte and Misurata.

In a strategic move to improve the industrial investment environment, the Libyan Cooperative Company for the Management of Industrial Zones and Urban Development met with the Industrial Zones Authority, Central Branch, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, to foster joint cooperation and overcome obstacles to sustainable development.
The meeting, held at the LBC’s headquarters, addressed the status of industrial zones in the Central Region, including Sirte, Misurata, Zliten, Al-Khums, and Bani Walid. Discussions focused on finding a practical mechanism to resolve issues facing distressed companies in the Misurata industrial zone, with the aim of enabling them to resume operations.
The meeting also explored adding extra space to the Bani Walid industrial zone and developing practical solutions for the Al-Khums and Sirte zones. This mutual understanding between the two parties reflects their commitment to sustainable spatial development and community development by supporting the industrial sector, which is a key driver of the local economy.
