In a move that reflects a growing awareness of corporate social responsibility, the LBC held a strategic meeting with the Libyan Consumer Protection Association, aiming to set new quality standards and build bridges of trust between consumers and the business sector in Libya.

The LBC headquarters in Tripoli hosted a significant meeting that brought together the Council’s executive management and the Consumer Protection Association. The discussion focused on developing joint mechanisms to achieve market stability and protect consumer rights.

Both parties discussed plans to implement workshops and awareness campaigns targeting both consumers and merchants, with the aim of promoting a culture of quality and transparent business practices. It was also agreed to enhance coordination on consumer protection issues and work to raise the quality of goods and services available in the local market.

Both parties affirmed that this partnership serves everyone’s interests, as it not only protects consumers but also supports serious merchants who adhere to quality standards, which contributes to building a strong reputation for the Libyan private sector.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Mohammad Hammouda, head of the Consumer Protection Association, honored the Council’s executive management, presenting them with a certificate of appreciation for their leading role in supporting initiatives aimed at achieving economic stability and promoting social responsibility.

This partnership is a model for cooperation between the private sector and civil society organizations. By joining forces, a more stable and equitable economic environment can be achieved, where the business sector flourishes and consumer rights are protected.
