Libya at the Forefront of Global AI.

In Tripoli, the LBC’s headquarters witnessed a special ceremony today, Thursday, August 21, 2025, honoring national institutions for their role in supporting the International Generative AI Conference, which was organized by Libya and held at Lincoln University in Malaysia.

Dr. Ali Othman Al-Bajji, the representative of Springer Nature and the main organizer of the conference, held the honoring ceremony in the presence of a large number of experts and members of the technical community. The LBC , the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences, the Libyan Technology Foundation, and Fares IT Company were all honored for their contributions and efforts in supporting and sponsoring the conference.

The organizing body praised the leading role of these institutions in the conference’s success and in highlighting the Libyan presence at this specialized international forum in the field of Generative AI. It also emphasized the importance of publishing Libyan research on the Springer platform, which reflects the advanced level of Libyan research in this field.

As part of its mission and social responsibility, the LBC  affirms the importance of guiding the business sector toward investment in human capital and supporting applied scientific research and modern sciences. The Council stressed that these fields are strategic pillars for strengthening the national economy, diversifying its sources, and building a solid knowledge base that contributes to enhancing the efficiency of Libyan cadres and enabling Libya to keep pace with the global digital transformation.

This recognition demonstrates that Libya is capable of being an active partner in the global tech scene. By supporting initiatives like the International AI Conference, the LBC  reinforces its commitment to building a sustainable, knowledge-based, and innovative economy.
