The Libya International Conference for Trade and Investment seeks to attract investment to the south
The Libya International Conference for Trade and Investment under the banner ‘‘Towards the South’’ was held in Tripoli and Ubari between 10 and 11 December as part of efforts to attract investment to the south of Libya.
The even was organized by the Sebha Chamber of Commerce.
Libya’s official state news agency, LANA, reported that that several papers were presented by participants in the conference that discussed the basic building block for development investments inside Libya and its geographical and regional surroundings, renewable energies, mining, agriculture, tourism, real estate investment, infrastructure and free zones.
The papers and interventions called on businesses, investors, and international companies to invest in the south to benefit from natural resources and energy, open horizons of cooperation and benefit from the geographical location of Libya, the gateway to Africa, especially in transit trade.
Several foreign investors were reported to have attended the event.
