Regarding the prohibition of carrying out economic activities related to Environmental and radiation protection services

Minister of Economy and Trade:

After perusal of the constitutional declaration issued on 03/08/2011 AD and its amendments.
And the Libyan Political Agreement signed on December 17, 2015.
And on the outcomes of the Libyan Dialogue Forum held on November 09, 2020.
And the Law of the State’s Financial System and the Budget, Accounts and Warehouse Regulations and their amendments.
Law No. (54) of 1973 AD regarding the establishment of the Atomic Energy Corporation and its amendments;
Law No. (23) of 2021 AD regarding commercial activity, its implementing regulations, and the decisions issued pursuant thereto.
And the decision of the Libyan House of Representatives in its session held in Sirte on 10/3/2021 AD regarding granting confidence to the Government of National Unity;
And Cabinet Resolution of the Government of National Unity No. (235) for the year 2021 AD, approving the organizational structure and the functions of the Ministry of Economy and Trade and organizing its administrative apparatus;
And on the letter of Mr. / Director of the General Administration for Control of Production Sectors and Infrastructure in the Administrative Control Authority No. (9513-39) dated 28/12/2021 AD.
And on the letter of Mr. / Adviser and Director of the Office of the Prime Minister No. (53) dated 1/1/2022 AD.

Decided

Article (1)

It is strictly forbidden for local commercial registry offices to accept applications for registration and renewal of commercial registry extracts for any private company or partnership whose purposes include providing environmental services and radiation protection because it is linked to national security, citizen health, and environmental protection.

Article (2)

The Economy and Commerce Controllers and commercial licensing offices are obligated not to issue licenses for the activities referred to in Article 1 of this Resolution to the private sectors, and the renewal of any existing license that engages in the same activity shall be suspended.

Article (3)

All tools for practicing private economic activities must settle their status in a manner that does not conflict with the provisions of this resolution.

Article (4)

This decision shall come into force from the date of its issuance, and those who are addressed by its provisions shall put it into effect, and every provision that contradicts its provisions shall be repealed.
