Sola Renewable Energy exhibits its solar powered smart sun shelters

|

Libyan company Sola for Renewable Energy exhibited its smart solar powered waiting/sun shelter at the Libya Build exhibition last week (30 May to 2 June).

Speaking at the exhibition, whilst sitting in the actual shelter, General Manager Mohamed Shinin, explained the flexible potential of the solar-powered shelter in Libya. Noting Libya’s long sunshine hours and power cuts, Shinin highlighted the fact that the shelter is not connected to the national power grid.

He explained how the shelter’s smart control system allows for it to be controlled remotely. The shelter has two display screens for advertising and information, and depending on its use, could be used to display bus, train or flight times. It also has loudspeakers for music, news or bus/flight/train announcements, he added.

In today’s mobile internet age, it is also equipped with the now compulsory USB charging ports for charging mobile phones and laptops.

Shinin also revealed that Sola is also working on solar-powered sun shelters for official and private security guards at the entrance of buildings. These solar-powered units can be used as mobile accommodation or offices.
