A Statement

The Libyan Businessmen Council LBC has noted that many legal entities from the public and private sectors organize various activities related to the revitalization of the national economy, namely; organizing exhibitions or participating in them, as well as holding conferences, forums, and workshops, which are organized at home and abroad. In addition to these bodies’ meeting with many Businessmen from friendly and brotherly countries. the result of meetings as noted is the conclusion of agreements and minutes of understanding, including but without limitations, the Turkish-Libyan Business Forum, which was held by the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association (Musiad) at the Radisson Blue Hotel in Tripoli, as well as the 48th session of the Tripoli International Fair without any significant coordination with the Council. Although all of these activities are at the core of the competencies assigned to the Council in accordance with the effective laws and the decisions issued pursuant thereto “Commercial Law 23 and Executive Policy No. 333 of 2012.” It is worth mentioning that the Council includes in its membership many business owners who practice various economic activities.
In the face of these practices, the Libyan Businessmen Council expresses its intense astonishment and denunciation and would like to attract the attention of the negative effects these practices may have on the business sector in terms of not unifying efforts among all concerned parties, including the Libyan Businessmen Council.
As the Businessmen Council notes this, it takes the opportunity to call on the government in general, the Ministry of Economy and Trade and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in particular, to enforce and obligate all parties to the importance and necessity of coordination and full cooperation. As well as to involve the Council in all events and activities either held by all parties or that they are taking part in it, to which the aim is to contribute to the development and move the wheel of the national economy.
