This morning, Monday, June 16, the Libyan Business Council organized a specialized training workshop on startups and venture capital at its headquarters in the Dat El Imad Complex in Tripoli. The workshop was held in cooperation with the National Planning Institute, with the participation of several entrepreneurs, business owners, and individuals interested in investment and economic diversification issues.
The workshop addressed several themes related to the reality of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Libya, venture capital mechanisms, and its role in financing innovative projects and transforming promising ideas into high-value economic enterprises. Additionally, it discussed the role of startups in supporting the circular and green economy and enhancing economic diversification efforts.
The workshop also reviewed several successful international experiences in building integrated ecosystems that bridge private capital with innovative projects, creating an environment that supports growth and innovation.
The workshop was managed and presented by Eng. Riad Khalil, a specialist in startups and venture capital, and the Head of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department at the National Planning Institute.
This workshop is part of a series of training and awareness programs regularly organized by the Libyan Business Council for its members and the wider business sector. These initiatives aim to disseminate economic and managerial knowledge, foster a culture of entrepreneurship and investment, and contribute to enhancing the professional capabilities of the council’s members, enabling them to keep pace with modern developments in business, investment, and economic development.
